We are
currently seeking a Senior Systems
Support Specialist (Level 2).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ø
Provide
technical assistance in the identification and resolution of network interface
related problems identified by LXE customers. These areas include, but are not limited
to, terminal and network configurations, installation procedures, application
functionality, and other areas as related to system operations.
Ø
Act
as the liaison between all departments within LXE to obtain required material,
engineering changes, or other resources required to provide correction of
customer problems.
Ø
Participate
in providing LXE customers with 24x7 telephone support, via an after-hours
pager. (On a rotating schedule,
will require 10-hour workdays, and be on call, carrying a pager, cell phone and
laptop to support customers 24x7).
Ø
Establishes
and supports laboratory test systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ø
Bachelor’s
degree in a technical related field
Ø
Industry
recognized certification or demonstrated in-depth knowledge of computers,
networks and RF systems.
Ø
CCNA,
CCDA, CCNP, CCDP, WLAN FE, WLAN SE, and Micro-soft certifications are highly
desirable.
Ø
5+
years experience in computer systems hardware utilizing asynchronous,
synchronous, bisynchronous, SDLC and POOL/SERVER.
Ø
Working
knowledge of IBM AS-400.
Ø
Experience
in R-232, 3270, 5250, TCP/IP protocols.
Ø
Experience
in DOS, Windows (2000, NT, 2003 Server, XP) operating systems.
Ø
A
working knowledge of basic test equipment utilized in systems analysis to
include protocol analyzers (Omni-Peak) network analyzers and other monitoring
tools.
